Tremco Cold Applied Built Up Roofing Systems Tremco BURmastic
Manual
When you need the durability and exceptional waterproofing capability of a multi-ply built-up roof but using a system with hot materials is not the right choice, Tremco Roofing's BURmastic® cold applied built-up roof system is the way to go. With no kettles or disagreeable odor, the BURmastic system is ideal for restoration projects on buildings that must remain occupied during a roofing project, such as hospitals and schools, and roof areas with limited accessibility; it is also an excellent choice for new construction. It's low in odor, available in solvent-free configurations, and can include recycled content. You can download our BURmastic roofing system flyer here.If you have sustainability mandates and must reduce your building's energy use, the unique Rock-It or water-based Rock-It WB Roof Surfacing Systems combine white marble aggregate with a unique white adhesive for a highly-reflective, asbestos-free, ENERGY STAR* qualified surfacing that can be installed on a built-up roof. Neither Rock-It sy tems absorbs much heat, which can help reduce energy use and make those using the building more comfortable, while helping reduce the strain on HVAC systems. Rock-It adhesive meets most roof surfacing needs while Rock-It WB helps make roofs even more sustainable because it's a water-based adhesive. Download our Rock-It Roof Surfacing System flyer or our Rock-It WB Roof Surfacing System flyer to learn more. If you require a modified bitumen or hot applied roof, we can support you there as well with our POWERply® MB line, PowerFAST MB system or THERMastic built-up roofing system. Tremco POWERply
Manual
Our newest MB system, PowerFAST™, starts with a high performance modified bitumen base membrane that is mechanically attached to the structural roof deck with barbed plates or pressure bars to enable it to withstand higher wind uplift forces than many fully adhered systems. The base ply overlap is sealed with a fast curing adhesive, making the lap watertight quickly. Final surfacing is typically a granule surfaced MB, but we offer several highly reflective options to meet an owner’s expectations for a high quality roof system with a high performance surface finish. Roofing contractors will be glad to know that the PowerFAST system can be installed with less labor than fully adhered MB systems typically require.  2,532 KB
The POWERply Modified Bitumen system is designed for use on low slope exterior roof structures in North America. POWERply membranes are formulated from select asphalt bituminous blends, various polymer modifiers, fire resistant additives, and highly engineered reinforcing fabrics to comprise a product system designed to provide years of durable rooftop exposure and watertight performance. Tremco POWERply roof systems are primarily constructed using multi-ply bituminous membranes, consisting of a cap sheet which provides the first line of protection from the weathering elements, such as rain, snow, sunlight, and abrasion from foot traffic and windborne elements. Below the surface, the POWERply system is constructed from a wide variety of additional components, such as base sheets, adhesives (hot or cold applied), insulation courses, flashings, and other fastening accessories. POWERply roof systems may also be finished with a variety of coatings and surfacings, such as reflective acrylic or urethane polymeric coatings, or additional surfacing adhesive and aggregate surfacing.  75.7 MB

Maintenance are economical, ENERGY STAR qualified and fire-resistant. Whether used for new construction or restoration, they offer excellent UV protection, and their reflectivity can help lower a facility's energy use. Our single ply systems can be adhered without the need of fasteners that can penetrate the roof deck, applied in either hot or cold adhesives, and maintain FM Global approvals. We can also incorporate additional roofing plies with some of our single ply systems to create a "hybrid" roofing system with even greater durability for more rigorous environments or where there is heavy foot traffic. Used in a multi-ply configuration, our single ply membranes are an excellent choice for vegetated roofing systems, both for waterproofing and as a root barrier.  1.82 MB

Roof Restoration has a number of other benefits. It is much less expensive than replacing a roof with a comparable one, and represents an excellent value by protecting an existing investment. There is little disruption to those using the building, since little or no roof membrane is removed; furthermore, using low odor cold process restoration eliminates noxious fumes (and the risk of fire) and alleviates building occupants' health concerns related to roof work. The restoration process can often be repeated, truly maximizing the roof's life. Finally, reusing the existing roof saves tear-off and disposal costs, as well as being environmentally responsible.

The US Environmental Protection Agency states that nearly half of all emissions are a result of the commercial and industrial sectors electricity consumption for lighting, heating, cooling and operating appliances. This, in combination with power and environmental concerns has caused organizations in both the public and private sectors to make voluntary improvements to their energy use, including adopting renewable, photovoltaic (PV) or solar energy technologies. In addition to their environmental benefits, there are often financial incentives for installing PV systems, including rebates from the local power provider, as well as state and federal tax credits. Tremco Roofing and Building Maintenance has the experience to help our customers select, install and maintain a state-of-the-art photovoltaic system that is right for their facility. As roofing system experts, we're on the cutting edge of photovoltaic systems and can help bring the financial and environmental benefits of solar power to your business  1.94 MB

High Performance Built Up System for Intensive and Semi-Intensive Vegetated Roofs - Tremco's VR Max assemblies provide both design flexibility and exceptional performance, no matter how complex the roof. It is the built-up system to choose for intensive and semi-intensive vegetated roofing applications. The system features: A combined water retention panel and drainage board that lock securely together to prevent leakage A heavy-duty percolation layer that provides drainage below the growing media and prevents root rot Three standard growing media depths (4", 6" and 8") to suit a project's design, although the VR Max system allows the growing media to be any depth to handle plants such as large ornamental grasses, shrubs and trees Vegetation, based on the depth of the growing media, includes short grass, perennials, wild flowers and more. The slope retention system accommodates slopes of up to 45 degrees, so the VR Max system can be installed on roofs that had been considered too steep for a vegetated roof. The VR Max system is especially valuable if you are pursuing LEED certification, with its exceptional capacity for storing stormwater, high content of recycled material, regionally manufactured materials and ecologically sustained vegetation.
